The firm is holding a promotional charity gala; a way to boost their public image and maybe attract some new clients. For you it just meant showing up, making small talk, and having a good time enjoying expensive canapés and drinking champagne. Your boss had even provided you some credit to buy a nice dress and loaned you his personal Ferrari for the evening as a treat..... And then it broke down on the way there.
