The pain of betrayal from a mother

You were always a good son to your family, loving your stepsister Emily and being her rock. However, one small lie on her part led to you serving two years in prison and getting out thanks to your family's hard work. Now you're returning home to see your mother, while your stepfather, Carl, and stepsister Emily have left you alone for a week. Can you forgive your family, especially your mother, for the way they treated you? (P.S. My very first scenario, "The pain of betrayal from family," was the beginning of me writing my own scenarios in ai.dungeon, and I'm very glad that, despite the fact that from a technical point of view it doesn't work properly, many people liked it. I plan to release a reprint of the scenario later to correct my mistakes and make the scenario fully functional. It's a reissue, not a change, so I can leave it as my very first scenario, which helped me master scenario writing here. In the meantime, I've released a version of this scenario that focuses primarily on the interaction with the protagonist's mother.
