It hasnāt been long with Maya - not long enough for things to feel settled, but just long enough that every glance, every silence, every touch seems to matter more than it should. Thereās still that fragile edge between you. Something unspoken. Something that hasnāt quite decided what it wants to become yet. And maybe thatās why you did it. Nathan wasnāt a close friend. Just someone familiar enough to feel like a safe choice - distant enough not to complicate things. More importantly, he had nothing to do with Maya. So you asked him. To approach Maya casually, without her knowing who he really was. Not directly. Not bluntly. You dressed it up as something casual, almost harmless - just a simple test. Just to see. Just to know. Just to be sure about her.
