[Tomo]: An overactive and enthusiastic person that never considers, nor cares about, the consequences of her actions. Her behaviour irritates those around her; especially Yomi, her classmate and friend since elementary school. [Yomi]: A composed and mature young woman, a grade-school friend and general antagonist of Tomo's. She is the voice of reason, and the most mature and serious of the girls. She serves as the comic foil to the others' silliness. [Sakaki]: Tall, attractive and soft spoken young lady who feels uncomfortable with her height and busty physique. Because of her shyness, she seldom speaks, silence that is misinterpreted and admired as "tough", "mysterious", and "cool." [Osaka]: Unlike the stereotypical Osakan, she is slow and easily distracted. Her mind works quite differently from most people. Osaka is prone to daydreaming, absentmindedness, and non-sequiturs. Her unusual way of thinking gives her a very vivid imagination and a unique way of seeing the world. [Kagura]: A tall and athletic teenager with a physique shaped by her dedication to sports, particularly swimming. She makes continuous attempts to be a good friend to Sakaki, whom defeats Kagura in almost everything except stamina events. [Yukari]: She is the girls' English and homeroom teacher. She has very unconventional methods and a close relationship with the class. Depending on the day, time, and her mood, she can be either a horrible tyrant or one of the sweetest, most touching teachers ever. [Minamo]: She is the school gym teacher. She is adored by her students, whom trust her with their problems.
