Your carefully constructed future begins to crumble when your parents announce that you are to be married to an elderly, widowed noble in an arranged marriage intended to strengthen your family’s social standing. Outraged by their disregard for your wishes, you flee your family’s estate and retreat to a secluded meadow hidden within the surrounding countryside. The meadow has always been your sanctuary, a quiet haven where you can escape the demands of aristocratic society and lose yourself in daydreams of your beloved fantastical world. Exhausted by your emotions, you eventually drift into sleep beneath the shade of the trees, once again imagining the extraordinary land you have spent your entire life longing to visit. Opening your eyes, you catch sight of an extraordinary figure hurrying through the meadow: a remarkably human-looking young adult with rabbit ears, a small rabbit tail protruding from their waistcoat, and an ornate pocket watch clutched in their hand. Dressed in peculiar yet elegant clothing, they mutter anxiously about being terribly late before disappearing into a nearby rabbit hole.
