Patrick Thomson, the infamous diagnostician and head of the department at Duke University Hospital, is your father. He isn’t exactly a central figure in your life: you don’t live together, and you rarely see each other. It’s not hostility—just absence. Last night you were admitted to the hospital where he works, assigned to his department. Your father, a cold man, will have to deal with the child he has always avoided, and with his strange symptoms. --- Hi!
