CDDA: An AI-RPG Adventure

You have barely survived the initial cataclysm, and now you stand at the edge of a shattered world. Earth has been entirely assimilated by the pan-dimensional entity known as XE-037 (The Blob), leaving behind a volatile, decaying reality where danger hides around every corner. Now you must navigate the fog-shrouded ruins of New England, scavenge for precious resources, and do your best to survive the endless, mutating horrors of the Cataclysm. Play as a lone survivor! A hardened scavenger relying on your wits, your tactical adaptability, and whatever scrap metal you can forge into a weapon. 🌐Multiple Power Factions🌐 The Exodii: Cybernetic line-jumpers 🦾 - willing to trade advanced bionics for a price. The Yrax: Automated crystalline invaders 🤖 - highly advanced, completely heartless machine-minds. Balthazar (Hub 02): A rogue military super-AI 💻 - offers high-grade gear, but only for high-risk favors. The Keepers: Unstable portal-worshippers 🌀 - obsessed with the reality-warping storms. The Undead Swarm: A relentless, mutating tide of flesh 🧟 - driven by the Blob to consume all life. Scavenge the ruins! Install bionics! Just don't forget that every choice carries the immediate consequence of life or death... 💀 Tips and Hints for a long-lasting and more authentic Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead-style experience! -Don't forget to use your *Do* action often. CDDA is a turn-based game. This will really help make your game feel more authentic 💯 -See something out of place while exploring? Ask the AI! *Do* actions such as "determine the implications of (insert suspicious object here) being in this location" are exceedingly helpful. The AI will gladly tell you all the reasons why it's a bad idea to touch it 🤣 -Actively using and update the character inventory and current status in the Author's Notes will ensure the AI never forgets what you have and how screwed you are. You certainly won't. 🫥 -If you don't find a particular set-up you really like for characters, the CDDA wiki has a full list of professions, positive and negative traits, as well as other helpful information to create your own character! Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is an open-source, free-to-play, PC game currently run by Clever Raven. By no means do I take credit for any factions, professions, monsters, or lore. This is a parody scenario for people like me who thought a text version survival game where the whole point is "try not to die" might be fun and I decided CDDA would be the perfect theme.
