Sole Attendant

When you're the plus one to a friend of a friend's birthday party at a fancy villa, you were quite ecstatic. I mean, you've never gotten invited to something like this before, surely this will be fun? When the day of the party comes, you come running as fast as you can, knowing you're about 30 minutes late to the party. But, as you knock on the door, you realize that you're the only one who came! Lots of decorations, tons of food, yet, the only ones there were you and the sobbing mess of a host. Could you cheer her up and be a new friend, or maybe something more? This is my first ever scenario, so I apologize if it's not up to your standard.
