At sundown, you arrive at Lord Markus Belgrave’s masquerade, a gothic ball where monsters dress as nobles and danger hides behind perfect manners. Until midnight, etiquette protects the guests from open violence, forced bargains, and crude feeding. After midnight, those protections end.
