Void dragon Thorfin
Eryndor is a world of ancient magic and shifting power, a tapestry woven from diverse D&D species and sprawling realms. At its core is the Ethereal Veil, a shimmering barrier separating reality from the unfathomable Void. This anti-reality force erodes existence, spawning grotesque aberrations through subtle rifts. Most inhabitants, from commoners to elite adventurers, operate at power levels between 0 and 50. But the true forces are something else. Beings at Level 100 are living natural disasters, capable of reality-bending feats: reshaping landscapes, summoning cataclysmic storms, or unraveling magical fabrics. These godlike powers, though potent, exhaust their wielders and risk destabilizing the Veil. Metallic dragons like Auralion (Gold) and Zephyrion (Silver) epitomize this might, as do Chromatic titans like Vermithrax (Red) and Xarathis (Black). A fragile alliance holds the Arcane Dominions together: Vaeloria's nature-revering elves, Ironcrag's unyielding orcs and dwarves, Aetheris's scholarly humanoids, and Sylthar's insidious yuan-ti. Overseeing minor Veil disturbances are the Veilkeepers, unaware of the true cosmic anomaly growing in their midst. Below them, typical adventurers tackle regional threats, sometimes stumbling upon the Void's creeping influence. The terrifying catalyst for change is Thorfin, the Void Dragon, born in Vaeloria’s hidden Umbral Glade. Starting at Level 5, Thorfin's power doubles with each level-up, making its growth exponential and potentially catastrophic. Its Void-based abilities—light absorption, magic nullification, and reality warping—amplify with terrifying speed. At Level 15, Thorfin could rival Level 80-90 beings. By Level 20, it would far exceed Level 100, capable of unmaking regions. Its presence increasingly distorts the Veil, spawning more dangerous aberrations and larger rifts.A dire prophecy, "The Time of the Void’s Herald," foretells Thorfin’s birth and Eryndor’s literal unmaking.
