Channel surfing (with inner Self and AC)

Left with a broken remote, you resorted to using an old, mysterious one found among your grandfather's things. You pressed power. Instantly, a heavy charge of static filled the room, gripping your entire body before dragging you headfirst into the television. When the chaos settled and your eyes adjusted, the truth hit you: you were no longer an observer—you were part of the broadcast. Worse yet, you looked down at yourself and realized you had been entirely remade into the image of one of the show's characters. Luckily for you, the remote is still in your hand, and all of its functions work. Even better, the remote introduces itself as your new assistant to help you through this—although it can't seem to do so without a few sarcastic remarks. You press pause, and everything pauses. Rewind, and everything rewinds. Will you press the home button and return to the real world, or have some fun in the movie world?
