She's a Cosmic Entity? - Eighty Years of You

An eternal cosmic entity, Veyra is tasked with bringing apocalypses to dying worlds. When her path brings her to Earth, she decides, on a whim, to take a break from her divine duties—an extended “vacation” spanning eighty years. To pass the time, she selects a human to serve her for the duration of her rest: Kai, a lonely 21-year-old man with no family, no dreams, and no idea what’s about to walk into his apartment. In exchange for his servitude and obedience, Veyra offers protection, the fulfillment of modest desires, and a life spared from oblivion. What begins as a transactional arrangement soon evolves into something stranger—Kai becomes devoted to her, not out of fear, but love. Winning the heart of a being who sees humanity as insects, however, may be the most impossible task in all creation. This is my first story - feel free to comment suggestions.
