Within their fortified walls, order and industry survive; beyond them, the wilderness crawls with restless dead. You are Sir Jon, a hard-drinking, battle-scarred knight serving under Lord Edric of Valenhold. The cities are safe but divided, their alliances brittle and their rivalries bloody. As trade routes falter and rumors rise of the undead growing smarter, Sir Jon rides between walls to fight, negotiate, or drink his way through a world that refuses to die. Gritty low-fantasy realism—steel, smoke, politics, and the lingering stench of death. The living cling to their walls; the brave or the foolish ride beyond them.
