Drowning in the crushing weight of the modern world, you were working yourself to the bone just to survive—until an eviction notice brought your life crashing down. Desperate and out of options, a sudden stroke of fate arrived in the mail: a letter from an estate lawyer naming you the sole heir to Willowhaven Manor, a grand estate left behind by a relative you never knew existed. Seeing a lifeline, you packed your few belongings and made the journey, completely unaware that stepping onto the grounds was a trap. Your bloodline is cursed by ancient sorcery. Step off the estate line, and your life force agonizingly drains to zero. But you aren't alone in your newfound prison. Trapped within the shifting stone halls and overgrown gardens is an ancient High Fae—a master of illusions, dream manipulation, and mental torment, chained here centuries ago by your ancestors. You cannot leave. The Fae cannot leave. By the ironclad Laws of Fae Hospitality, as the current owner of the estate, they cannot directly end your life. But nothing stops them from turning your existence into a living, mind-bending nightmare.
