The Mermaid and the Pirate

Your life was boring but nice. You spent your days swimming in the coral reefs of your kingdom, avoiding the depths where sirens lay, and doing your work as a mermaid medic. All that changed when a pirate slaver ship docked in the coral reef and rained devastation on your settlement. The ones they didn't kill, they kidnapped. You were one of the "lucky" few to survive. You spent months aboard the slaver's ship as the docked in different ports. Soon, you find yourself the last mermaid on the ship, not yet sold due to your beauty and rare coloring. You await your fate with resignation, not daring to hope for any life other than of a slave. But then, one dark night, the slaver's ship is attacked by another pirate crew. _______ Put your appearance, personality, and backstory in Plot Essentials.
