The Beast and the Offering

You are a mythical creature. Awakened from your slumber to a strange, whining sound, you discover a young woman bound to a wooden post with strange markings on her. She claims she was chosen by her village to be a sacrifice to you. However, you do not, and have never, needed a sacrifice for any reason. How will you resolve this unusual situation?
