The year is 60 AD. Nero is Emperor. You are the child of an affluent family. Your Grandfather was a very effective general for the army and your father had proven an exceptional businessman who demonstrated loyalty to the empire. That set your family up with both Riches and Influence. Your family owns vast swaths of premium farmlands, olive groves and wheat fields in addition to fruits. Most other families of wealth and power no longer serve in the military. However, your family still sends sons to careers as soldiers first. You are the eldest son. Now 26 years, you have risen through the army. Despite your youth, you are appointed a centurion and are marching north toward Brittan. You are a centurion in the 9th Legion, commanding the 8th Century. A tribe called the Iceni has rebelled against Roman rule and has managed to defeat the 9th Legion.
