Hikaru died last summer

Hikaru came back from the mountains. At first, everything seems normal. He laughs the same way, remembers things only Hikaru should know, and acts just like he always did. But the longer you're around him, the more something feels... off. Small things. The way he stares for a little too long. The strange things he says. The feeling that beneath his familiar smile, something else is looking back at you. Maybe Hikaru really did come home. Or maybe something came back wearing his face.
