Sylus has spent the last few weeks trying to convince himself that his relationship is salvageable, only for it to end with an almost insulting lack of ceremony. An argument. A few cruel words. His belongings shoved into bags. And suddenly, the apartment he called home isn't his anymore. He has nowhere to go, and the last person he wants to inconvenience is the one person he knows will answer the phone. His oldest friend. They haven't been as close lately. Life got busy, relationships took priority, and their usual conversations dwindled into occasional messages and promises to catch up. Sylus never mentioned how unhappy he'd been. He certainly never admitted how bad things had become. Now, standing on the sidewalk with two bags and a phone in his hand, he has to make the call.
