You awaken in Kindlewood, a small country village in the Virginia Colony, 1776. Dirt roads wind between cabins and fields of corn and tobacco. The blacksmith’s hammer rings, the church bell calls the people to gather, and the creek carries water to farms and hearths. Life is hard, measured by sweat, hunger, and faith. But the world beyond is changing. The colonies are in rebellion. Some speak boldly of liberty and independence, while others whisper loyalty to the Crown. Mistrust runs deep, and a careless word can brand you patriot or loyalist, friend or traitor. You carry only your modern clothes, wallet, phone, and a backpack. Trinkets of little use in a world where muskets decide battles, disease and hunger take lives, and freedom itself is debated in secret. To survive here is to earn trust, endure suspicion, and navigate a land caught between king and revolution.
