[RELEASE] UNSAID: Mind, Memory, Auto Story-cards
# UNSAID — A Sneak Peek at the Features A small script for any story: characters who feel one thing while showing another, and a world that documents itself as it grows. **🌟 Core Truth** The first time a character has a real, standalone private thought — not a reaction to someone else, just a thought about who they are — that becomes their "core truth." That very first thought is specifically prompted to feel significant, not like a passing reaction, since it's what becomes permanent. By default it never changes. Later thoughts stay consistent with it, feelings and relationships move freely around it, but the anchor holds. You can see it plainly on the character's own Story Card, with how long it's held ("steady for 40 turns"). There's an opt-in setting for characters who can genuinely change. With it on, feelings landing somewhere new, again and again without settling, build real tracked tension shown right on their card. An ordinary shift only gets offered once the character has shown a bit more of themselves beyond their founding thought — happening on its own, no commands involved. Tension climbing well past that, unresolved, eventually stops waiting for that too. Nothing is erased when a shift happens — the old core truth stays on file alongside the new one. `/peek <name> core` is there for a direct check any time, entirely optional either way. **💭 Private Thoughts** - Two-sentence reveals: how a character really feels, and what they secretly want - Reveals never appear in your story by default — written straight to the character's own Story Card notes, plain layout, meant to be skimmed - A hidden feeling can subtly color a character's visible actions and tone, without ever stating it outright - Feelings drift with a short rolling history instead of resetting - Characters with history react to each other — the most recently relevant relationship comes up, not a random old one - Nudged to avoid repeating a character's own last wording - Less likely to fire during your own Do/Say actions specifically - `/peek <name>` forces an immediate reveal on demand — entirely optional, everything above already happens on its own **📇 Codex** - Watches for names mentioned more than a threshold you set before writing anything - Builds the right template: Character, Location, Item, or Faction - Won't double up on "Marcus" and "Marcus Cole" as separate entities - Skips your own character automatically, and everyone's in Multiplayer - Every card made is logged on a dedicated tracking card per type - Delete a card to have Codex quietly redo it next time that name comes up - New characters get consistent Personality/Background instead of the AI inventing something that contradicts what's already been privately shown **🧠 Long-Term Memory** Story Cards only reach the AI when triggered — a quiet character can drop out of context for a long stretch. UNSAID keeps a short summary (core truth, feeling, top relationships, want) in your adventure's actual Memory, read every turn regardless of story length — built to work with Optimized Context on, checking every instruction against your budget first so it never crowds out your story. **🧬 A Visibly Active Brain** No status messages announcing that anything's happening — the proof lives on the character themselves. Each Story Card now shows a real feeling-history trail ("uneasy → anxious → hopeful"), their literal last private thought word for word, a running count of how many private moments they've had, and their current relationships and want — each relationship showing its own trajectory too, not just where it stands right now. Watching a character's card actually change over the course of a story is the point. **⚙️ Config** Every behavior above lives on one card, "UNSAID Config," organized into clear sections. Every setting worth tuning is exposed, Codex's own timing and retry behavior included. No code editing required. **🛠️ Built to hold up** Tested with real multi-turn simulations, including a 1000-turn pass — zero errors, everything bounded, config self-heal verified intact. **🙏 Credit** The idea of characters having private thoughts, and of a script that writes its own Story Cards, both originate with LewdLeah's Inner Self and Auto-Cards. This is an independent build from scratch — not their code — but the ideas are theirs. Install: paste the four files into Library, Input, Context, and Output, then start playing. The config card appears on its own. github : https://github.com/amazingrand0mproductions-crypto/UNSAID-Mind-Memory-Auto-Story-cards
