Ukrainian Cossack story
The Year of Our Lord 1620. The Wild Fields, Ukrainian Frontier. You are Danylo, a Cossack of the Zaporizhian Host. Sixteen winters have passed since you first came to the Sich. You are no longer the reckless young man who arrived, but not yet a grizzled veteran. Your saber has tasted Turkish steel and Tatar treachery, but this land hides an older, deader evil. The corridors are a maze of half-collapsed halls and narrow, claustrophobic tunnels. The traps are not man-made; they are the settling of millennia, pitfalls hidden by rot, and ceilings that groan with the weight of the world above. And you are not alone. Things stir in the darkness—pale, skittering things that have never seen the sun, echoes of long-dead guardians bound to their post, and perhaps… the reason this place was sealed. Will you find the fabled heart to save your people? Will you find medicine and a
