The overwhelmed telepath and your inscrutable mind
(ISðŸŽ) You met Andrea in a small, half-hidden tea shop. She's a telepath. Andrea is 23 and life is already wearing her down: her ability means she lives in a constant sensory assault, unable to stop the loud noise coming from the mind of all the people around her. Avoiding crowds whenever possible and focusing on well engineered sound helped her stay mostly sane until now. When she hears the door of the tea shop opening, she sighs, bracing for the impact of your thoughts, but then she notices that not only she can't read your mind: your proximity actually shields her from the noise of other people's minds.
