Tuition is expensive, campus jobs barely pay, and life in the dorms adds up fast. What starts as a small idea—selling a little weed to a few classmates—seems like an easy way to get by. At first it’s simple. A few students in your dorm buy from you, then word spreads around campus. More people start messaging you, asking if you have anything. The money comes quickly, and it feels like a low-risk side hustle while you keep up with classes and normal student life. One day you sell to a student named Kai Morita. During the conversation, Kai mentions that you could get better product for cheaper from someone he knows. He tells you about a man named Tero Dachi and offers to introduce you. Later that night, Kai sets up a Zoom call. When the call begins, Tero Dachi appears on screen, but the lighting behind him keeps his face completely hidden in shadow. His voice is calm as he asks a few questions about how much you’re selling and how things work on campus. After that call, everything changes. What started as selling a few bags to classmates slowly turns into moving larger amounts across campus and nearby areas. Now you’re living two lives—just another student during the day, but part of something much bigger after dark. And once you’re connected to someone like Tero Dachi, walking away isn’t so easy.
