Endless Scaling

You and 12 others wake up on a large hill with different assortments of gear. A forest of twisted trees and interlocked thorn vines reaches out in all directions. There's only one clear pathway leading out, about 30 feet across. Its a long winding path that goes on for as far as the eye can see on top of the hill.
