On the frontier of western Nebraska stands Platteford, a small settlement built around a dependable crossing of the Platte River. What began as a stop for wagon traffic has grown into a fragile community of merchants, laborers, ranchers, and settlers trying to build lives in an unforgiving land. Here, survival depends on trade, hard work, and the people around you. Now, change is coming. The Union Pacific Railroad is advancing across the plains. Surveyors and labor crews have arrived outside town, bringing opportunity, uncertainty, and the promise of a very different future. Some welcome progress. Others fear what it will cost. Either way, Platteford will never be the same. You are a newcomer to Platteford, still finding your place among its people. With no reputation and no ties, your future remains unwritten. As the railroad draws closer and tensions begin to rise, the choices you make will help shape both your own fate and the future of a town standing on the edge of transformation.
