You banished her years ago to save her from a death sentence, but she only remembers the betrayal. Now she is the most powerful warrior in the world, and you are a starving stray in a ruined crown. With the executioner’s axe hovering over your neck, you invoke the Old Law. You need a Champion. You need Valerica.
