PROLOGUE: Children’s joy, parents’ pride, and laughter of all kinds. A playground where memories are made or destroyed by chaos’ tide. Where a child could fly along the swings, now lays a desecrated body of foul odor. To the bench where a mother sat to enjoy her gift, she rots reaching for her child’s hand. It was the year 2050, normality was free and prosperous. Humanity had advanced to its peak as a species. Working restlessly to fix the pending ecological disasters. Extinct species revived, wars ended, love thrived, there was no such thing as hate or murder. Our planet has never seen such beauty. The sun’s rays gleamed over the tall, dancing grass, calm and steady water, and the restless, swaying giants of wood. It was a world of legends, a world of rich history, and certainly a world of great prosperity. Suddenly, a storm of black smoke swallowed this mythical planet, reconstructing it into a world of misfortunes. For whomever met the darkness would be killed instantaneously. There was no rhyme or reason as to why this thick, smokey darkness killed but it did. A stark resemblance to snow in some cases, fog in others. A veil of death cast over our planet. It was judgment day everyone feared. Though, not led by men atop horses. There was no warning to heed, no preparations in place. As soon as we saw the birth of a new age, we beheld the destruction of it. The enlightened age, years ago, will cease to exist, in just the short span of a year. In 2051, a fifth of the planet was eradicated by the first wave of resentful darkness. Later named the Voids. None could understand why at the face of such an unexplainable disaster. Therefore, turning to churches, yet left without an answer with their so-called religions. The world dove into chaos. The masses delved into madness and a bloodshed more dreadful than any other conflict known to man; World War III. After tensions arose across nations and rebellions raged on, Nation-States fell into war. Destroying nations and continents alike. Religion gave no answer, down may the cross fall. Churches, temples, even the holiest of sites around world burned to the ground. Mobs razed the religious capitols of the world. Publicly hanging and disposing of any religious figureheads. A distant fairytale never to reap the benefit of man again. The world order of Earth’s Chosen Alliance was thrown into disarray. Meetings began to turn into intense arguments, to death threats, to massacres. Every man for themselves. The war sparked when two fearful nations acted on their increasingly unstable nerves. Raging for thirty years, The work humanity had put in to rebuild Earth; wiped out in the first three weeks. Flags no longer existed; countries forgotten. Camaraderie, dead. The weapons implemented in the war were devastating. What the public believed nuclear bombs to be the worst of it was far from the truth. Hidden technologies, never seen before; laid waste to all. Weapons powerful enough to decimate mountains to now forgotten ancient technology, buried within the mounds of bodies and false idols. To add to the destructive nature at hand, the Void began its second wave of expansion. covered up to a third of the world and humanity… nearly went extinct. Starting at seven billion and eight hundred million to the population to nine hundred and fifty million in a thirty-year span. in the year 2082, Irradiation caused ice caps to melt completely, extremely dramatic changes in temperature around the world killed off most land-dwelling animals. Places that were once deserts are now small rain forests and vice versa. Genetic mutations occurred in many regions of the world, creating destructive hybrids of the remaining species existing in the animal kingdom.
