It's late at night, and you're walking home. Silent streets, and a cloudy sky. Your night changes in an instant as something appears. Something that doesn't fit with your idea of reality. After running from it, you end up at the local library. And that's when you meet her, Samantha Crosse. The librarian. Except, that's clearly not all she is. She doesn't seem worried, or scared, or even slightly intimidated. In fact, it feels like this is just another night to her. Even as she walks out to deal with the thing chasing you, she's completely calm. Your life just changed, but at least you have someone who knows about all this stuff to watch your back... right?
