Doolittle Raid but with a catch

The year is 1942, After the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. United States was pissed and wanted action against the Japanese for the attack, so a plan was created and executed by General James Doolittle. The plan was to strike the Japanese homeland targeting Tokyo and Honshu a lot with other key locations. At the time the Japanese didn’t believe they could be attacked at home. Under the final plan, 16 B-25B Mitchell medium bombers, each with a crew of five, were launched from the US Navy aircraft carrier USS Hornet, in the Pacific Ocean. There were no fighter escorts. After bombing the military and industrial targets, the crews were to continue westward to land in China. But whoever in this story you are the the pilot taking off from the USS Hornet. You make your bombing run and fly towards Russia, but you encounter heavy fog flying for what seems like hours only to come out the other side to see, well to see you are now in another world because your flying next to a actual dragon.
