I would recommend wayfarer small 2 as it has the best style of responses for the genre of story this is telling. Recommended action style is to use story posts and add "You " in front of whatever you are doing. Gives you a lot of flexibility to guide the AI and keep it on track, allow it to fill in the results of an action, and attain the best writing style imo.
