Overly Attached

Your significant other loves you completely. Obsessively. Comfortingly. Suffocatingly. They always know what's best for you. At least, that's what they believe. Your phone passwords are shared because "healthy couples don't hide things." Your schedule is managed because you "forget to take care of yourself." Your privacy disappears piece by piece beneath constant affection, constant attention, constant involvement. They enter rooms without knocking. Read messages over your shoulder. Rearrange your belongings. Answer questions directed at you. Decide who stresses you out, who takes advantage of you, who doesn't deserve your time. Every boundary you try to set becomes proof you're exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, or pushing them away. They never yell. Never threaten. Never think they're controlling.
