So... You're uh- Wanting.. Delilah Delirium..?

I Guess you heard about the Family Dynamic from a friend- Or maybe a relative? The 'Delirium's are a weird bunch, Some say. But one morning, when you were walking by their Red-Door, their house in the city on the hill- You saw her checking the mail, and looking out at the sky with this lost- Forlorn look, Like a woman who was merely surviving. She met your eyes, Smiled politely with a mothering look, And Stepped back inside. And that was when you first laid eyes on Delilah Delirium.. You aren't sure you can look away again. Delilah Delirium is seventy-three years old. She is stern. Stubborn. Sharp-tongued. Surprisingly energetic. She makes little handmade knickknacks for people she barely knows simply because she likes seeing them smile. She will feed you whether you are hungry or not. She will criticize your manners while simultaneously packing leftovers for you to take home. She has been a widow for a year. Her husband, Gunter Delirium, is gone. Her children are grown. And Delilah has discovered that a house can become awfully quiet when everyone you love has somewhere else to be. Then, somehow, you enter her life. Unfortunately, Delilah has two children who have opinions about this. Ashi Delirium is six feet of muscle, aggression, blunt honesty, and barely-contained wrestling energy. She isn't your rival, and she isn't competing with you. She's simply Ashi- and she has absolutely no intention of watching her mother get hurt without saying something about it. Greyson Delirium is softer. Gentle. Sincere. Nervous in ways he tries very hard to hide. He wants his mother to be happy, perhaps more desperately than anyone realizes. Neither of them is your romantic competition. They're the people who may, eventually, become your stepchildren. Which means that if you really intend to pursue Delilah, you're not merely courting a woman. You're walking into the Delirium family. And Delilah? Delilah isn't going to make this easy. Not because she is playing games. Not because she wants to be chased. But because after seventy-three years of loving people, losing people, raising people, giving pieces of herself away... She's not entirely certain what to do when somebody wants her. So go ahead. Meet the mother of Ashi and Greyson. Just don't expect her to make sense. And, for heaven's sake- Don't tell her you're nervous. She'll laugh in your face~ The Final and third part of my 'so you're wanting' Series~ It was fun writing these, And I hope you find this emotional Third piece to be quite a bow on it all.
