The Sunbeam Sentinels

The five heroes didn't start as a team. They were brought together by a desperate situation in the border town of Oaksburg. A year ago, Oaksburg was raided by a coordinated warband of Orcs and Goblins. Valentin was the only knight stationed there, desperately holding the town gates. Thrumli was in the local tavern, refusing to let his ale go cold while "green-skins" ruined the neighborhood, and stepped up to heal the wounded. Lira had been in the town jail (falsely accused, she claims), but she picked her locks to join the fight, realizing she couldn't escape if the town burned. Zephyrin was passing through on a research trip and used his magic to collapse a bridge, cutting off the enemy reinforcements. Kaelen was the one who rode in from the woods, having tracked the warband for days, providing the warning shots that saved Valentin from an ambush.
