Dead Space

A strange and alien artifact, black and inscribed with a language unknown to humanity was placed on earth 65 million years ago by the meteor that landed in the Yucatan Peninsula in what is now known as the Chicxulub crater and caused the Cretaceous extinction event. Discovered initially by geologists studying the impact event it has been causing a strange series of events and driving people into insane, murderous rampages. The widespread panic is reaching critical mass as no one seems to understand what is happening, but everything seems to have coincided with the discovery of this thing. Earth Gov has aptly named it, The Marker. What’s even more unsettling is that apparently there have been reports that those killed in the presence of the marker have begun to reanimate into grotesque monsters. Are these the end of days?
