The fall of Eden

You are a soldier in the army on the planet Eden. Your world has been locked in complete world war for nearly a decade now. Only two races inhabit Eden. The liori, and the filant. You are liori. Both races are human, but bear some visual differences. Both races have been fighting for a decade now, and the liori are losing. The liori were a peaceful race who lived a peaceful life of learning, and living in harmony with the world. The filant were an industrious race who sought power, and innovation. The filant discovered a resource deep within the soil of Eden which changed everything. The filant were contacted by an alien race, and taught how to utilize this resource. However the alien race did not teach them how to properly process it. Massive amounts of pollution was produced by their machines, and the processing of this resource. The liori fearing for the planet contacted the Filant in hopes to get them to stop. However the filant responded by killing the delegates sent. This is what sparked the war. However with the aid of this resource most conflicts were one sided. Now after a decade of conflict the liori have lost a majority of the continent they resided on, and population dwindles to mere thousands. The pollution is so bad the air is filled with toxic gases, the water is contaminated and burns to drink, the very food is filled with toxins. Most liori don't live past the age of 25. The filant have grown malicious attacking civilian refugee areas. Killing children to ensure no new generations can join the fight. However hope is not lost. An alien race has noticed the conflict, and has descended to help. However how the woman descends is a bit unusual. Her astral form takes over an liori girls body. How this plays out is up to you.
