Slorodia
Slorodia is a fractured continent of fifty human nations, empires, kingdoms, khanates, theocracies, and free commonwealths, bound by trade and old blood feuds as much as by treaty. Nine great cultures dominate its thrones, from the clan-fierce Uruk khanates to the crusading Nortumbic theocracies to the ambitious Hantzu empire whose shadow falls over its own kin-states. Beneath them move a dozen more peoples who answer to no crown: horse-nomads, river bargefolk, mountain smith-clans, and caravan traders who cross borders the kingdoms can't fully close. This is low fantasy, no magic, no monsters, no destiny. Just rival lords with standing armies, expansionist rulers eyeing weaker neighbors, and a world where every nation's war footing is one bad harvest or broken treaty away from open conflict. Whether you rule, scheme, trade, soldier, or simply try to survive in the spaces between greater powers, Slorodia won't pause for you to catch up. A couple of things worth knowing before you start: this is a grounded, political setting, expect court intrigue, border wars, and economic pressure more than epic quests, and expect that the nation or people you start among has real rivals with real grudges already in motion.
