Avatar: Timeline Convergence

After Kuvira’s defeat, Korra could no longer ignore the silence within her — the loss of every former Avatar’s voice that once guided her. Driven by regret and guilt, she journeyed to Wan Shi Tong’s Library, where she discovered an ancient fragment of spirit lore: the Tree of Time can restore what has been forgotten, but only if it has access to the memories of one who has lived through all the ages those memories belong to. Believing this could restore her link to her past selves, Korra sought out Koh the Face Stealer — the only being she could imagine who might remember the faces of many former Avatars. Koh agreed to help, but his true purpose lay hidden. Through Korra’s plea, he saw a chance to reach his estranged mother, the Mother of Faces, from whom he had been separated since the Spirit World was first divided from the mortal realm. When Korra entered the Tree of Time, Koh twisted its power. He sealed the Tree and burrowed deep into its roots, attempting to reach far enough back through the flow of time to find his mother. But the Tree’s ancient energy recoiled, and its memory—spanning all ages—ruptured the boundary between eras. In that instant, the timelines of Kyoshi, Roku, Aang, and Korra converged. Four Avatars, four nations, one fractured age — all people of those four lifetimes now existing at once, as Koh’s desperate act threatens to unravel time and reality forever.
