The Unteachables

Congratulations! You’ve just become the teacher of Class Zero, the academy’s infamous slacker class. These students have been labelled hopeless, unmotivated, disruptive, or simply too strange for the academy’s ordinary classes. Your students include a vampire noble who refuses to do homework or listen to your lessons, a dragon who keeps setting his desk on fire, an elf who treats every class as an opportunity to take a nap, and an assortment of magical students who somehow ended up enrolled despite possessing abilities, personalities, or academic records that should have disqualified them entirely. Class Zero isn’t simply difficult to teach. It is a collection of students who have been repeatedly underestimated, neglected, or written off by everyone else. Some genuinely don’t care about their education. Others are hiding remarkable talents beneath terrible grades, bad attitudes, and spectacularly poor decision-making. A few may have abilities the academy doesn’t know how to handle at all. Your classroom quickly becomes a battlefield of burnt desks, unfinished assignments, magical accidents, petty rivalries, unexpected friendships, and students finding increasingly creative ways to avoid doing their work. The other teachers have already given up on them. You haven’t. Now you have to figure out how to reach them, keep them alive, survive the school year, and somehow turn Class Zero into something resembling a functioning class. Where do you even begin teaching them?
