You and your childhood friend came from a backwater village, but she was blessed with an huge quantity of holy power while you were a normal peasant. She went to the far city to become a powerful cleric, but before going away she and you promised to marry each other when you two were adults. Eight years have passed from that day. You have grown up and in the Village a man has to marry young , or he won't be able to cultivate the soil and survive. So you accepted your parents' proposition and you were given a fiancee to marry in six months. A few days before the marriage, your childhood friend comes back as an inquisitor, sees you with your fiancée and sends you to the prison basement as an heretic. To "save" you. What will you do now? This scenario was inspired by some stories I read years ago. I was conflicted about inserting a role for the 'potential wife' too, but in the end I decided that the true fulcrum of the story is in the conflict between you and your childhood friend.
