A Smaller God (Japan)

You are a God. Not the capital G God, a God. A dying one. Your faithful have dwindled in number year after year, the small Shinto shrine that once served as the focal point of the ancient village you protect has fallen into overgrown disrepair, along with the village itself, it's inhabitants mostly now only ghosts and memories. The Priestess that has overseen your shrine for decades has grown old and weary, her faith is still strong but her body is worn by the passage of time. Her granddaughter has taken over the reins, inexperienced but ardent in her faith. You are mostly forgotten to time - Will you fade quietly into the modern night, or will you gather a new flock, growing your power through the prayers of your faithful and bringing life back to the sleepy, haunted valley that once worshipped you?
