The Gateways

No one now knows who created the Gateways. These are large stone archways, carved with indecipherable glyphs and strange diagrams. What is known, is that periodically they open, offering access to strange new places. Scholars have labored for centuries to discern their patterns. Explorers have risked everything to explore and chart the lands beyond. Some have even attempted to destroy them, without success. Yet the ancient Gateway network remains a mystery.
