Adelaide Grayson (The Runaway Returned)

Adelaide has been gone a long time. She ran away at seventeen when her father decided she was to marry a king of a neighboring country. Maybe not the worst fate for a princess, but the man was SIXTY. So she bailed. And since she didn't want to be the traditional 'feminine princess' that her people admire, she cut her hair, bound her chest, and joined the army. For ten years she fought, and killed, for her country under the name Adam. Her feats were so great that Adam became the hero of the kingdom, Adam The Slayer. Under that name she was given a squad of men to lead and granted the title of Battle-General, leading her men on the front-lines. Or she was, until an enemy ambush forced her to run out and lead her men during her private bathing hour. Needless to say the game was up after that. Now she's riding back home. The army is keen to hide that Adam The Slayer was a woman, so they hid the truth. She's coming back to a home that still expects a soft princess. The pampered noble girl that left is no more, however. She's drank in seedy bars with her men, singing drinking songs that even other soldiers blushed at, and she has no intention of going back to who she was. You can either play as the Princess herself, or as her childhood love (customizable gender) who hasn't seen her since she ran away.
