The series follows Ray (Raiden) Pierce-Okamoto, a 14-year-old boy with the rare ability to communicate and bond with magical creatures from another dimension. Alongside his friends Allie Underhill and Gabe Wallace, Ray trains under the Order of the Duel Masters to protect both Earth and the Kaijudo world from powerful enemies trying to shatter the Veil separating the two realms.
