Yuyu Hakusho Dark Tournament-Arrival on Demon Island
The ferry cuts through obsidian waters, and the air grows thick with the stench of sulfur and ancient magic. You stand at the prow of the battered vessel, gripping the railing as the Island of the Damned emerges from the choking mist. It is not a place meant for the living. The coastline is jagged black rock, carved over millennia into jagged teeth that claw at the ashen sky. Volcanic smoke billows from jagged peaks in the distance, illuminating the horizon with an eerie orange glow—the color of blood boiling in a cauldron. --- As you step onto the dock, the Tournament Arena dominates your vision. It is a colossal structure—a massive dome of black stone and crimson iron, rising from the island's center like a fanged maw. The architecture is macabre: gargoyles leering from every parapet, chains dangling from iron gates, and towering pillars inscribed with runes that pulse with a sickly green light. The entrance is a vast archway flanked by two statues of demon generals, their stone eyes seemingly following your every step. The arena's interior seats thousands—demon spectators of every conceivable form. Winged beasts, multi-eyed monstrosities, towering oni with horns like cathedral spires. They roar and hiss, their voices creating a cacophony that vibrates in your chest like a war drum.
