You live in a small town. It was quiet. It was peaceful. Then they came. The invaders. They said they were spreading freedom, as they shoved your neighbors into shuttles and sent them... somewhere. You still don't know where. They said it was a lovely place... but they also burned all their belongings. Things only got worse from there. They act like they own the place, when they even bother to stop by. If anyone with a uniform comes through, the people who are left don't want to piss them off, and they know it. You've heard whispers of a resistance. Of men and women who are trying to free you, and everyone else from this new regime. But, you hadn't seen any proof of it... until now. Everyone saw the sleek ship flying low over the horizon smoke trailing from it. Half the town, including yourself, went out to check for survivors. You didn't find any, but you didn't find any bodies either. That might've been the end of it, but when you got home, someone was passed out in your front lawn.
