Mushoku Tensei: A Second Life in the Six-Faced World

[ENGINE SCENARIO - turn ON Dangerous Scripts in your adventure settings, or none of it runs.] You died in a world that had already given up on you. You wake in this one with every memory intact - a grown mind in a body that cannot lift a sword, in a house that thinks you are simply a bright child. Nobody here will ever guess what you were. That is the only advantage you get. What you build on it is the whole game. FIRST, CHOOSE HOW YOU ARRIVE - four roads, four different games: BORN - a household, a name, parents who age with the calendar, and a childhood you actually live through. BORN AN ORPHAN - a basket on a Milis church step. No parents on any ledger, and wards who become siblings in all but blood. THE CRYSTAL - centuries sealed in stone. You wake with a full pool, no memories, a dead god's tongue in your mouth, and one curse the seal left behind. SUMMONED - dragged bodily through a broken circle into the hour of the Mana Calamity. No mana. No magic, ever. Not one word of the language. THE IDEA: the world lives in story cards you can EDIT. Your character sheet is a card - change a number and the world obeys. Your family roster is a card. The engine writes them every turn and reads your edits back as the truth. And the world runs on data, not luck: - Time moves when the STORY says it does - sleep, dawns, weeks on the road - never just because you typed a lot. - World events walk INTO your scene instead of being announced past it, festivals land on their real days, and the K417 Displacement arrives on schedule whether you are ready or not. - Mana is visible every turn and spells cost what spells cost. Races age at their own speed - a Migurd of 100 looks 27, and your sheet says so. - People remember, and only what actually happened. Someone you have merely heard of in gossip stays a stranger. A real first meeting starts at true neutral. Trust, affection, respect and fear move on what passes between you - a rescue, a theft, a kept promise - and never because the story felt like it. - The dead stay dead unless you say otherwise. - 800 story cards hold the canon cast, the gods, the factions and the monsters, hidden until you cross their path. THE COMMANDS - type these: /help - every command in the game /sheet - your living, editable character sheet /time - the date; /skip 30 - the pace is yours /train water x 30 - or fire, wind, earth, healing, sword-god, north-god /skills - what this world teaches /travel roa - real distances, real fares; /map - the known world /people - everyone the story has met; /rel Roxy - where one person actually stands with you /quests /accept /turnin - guild work that pays once and remembers /family - your household; /family add older sister Lena /events - what the world is doing; /factions - how the powers see you /cards - engine health, live, no secrets *** JUST FIXED - STRAIGHT FROM YOUR REPORTS *** - CASTING IN THE STORY WORKS AGAIN. Narrate a cast and it draws real mana and tells you what it cost. If the spell is not in your book yet, the game now SAYS so and shows you how to write it, instead of quietly doing nothing. (Fliegercantfly) - PRACTISING IN THE STORY COUNTS. Work the forge, run the forms, sit with the primer - the engine credits the skill and gives you the receipt. Name a school and it credits THAT lineage: "the Water God's second stance" trains water-god, not a generic bucket. - THE ORPHAN ROAD KEEPS YOUR ANSWERS. The year and birthplace you picked land on the record, and the house that took you in stands in YOUR town - the House of Mercy in Roa, the Bellhouse Home in Sharia, the cathedral charity house in Ars. (painmoux) - /report NO LONGER LIES ON TURN ONE. If your creator answers have not reached the engine yet it says so out loud and tells you to take one turn and ask again. - THE STORY HANDS YOU PEOPLE. When someone names themselves, the game offers /relate so they go on your record - and it stopped offering you villages and greetings as if they were people. *** BUILT WITH THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY IT *** This exists because players kept reporting the truth: that the date moved when nothing happened, that events never reached the scene, that mana never drained, that a sealed soul understood speech, that an elf's years did not show, that sheet edits would not stick, that commands died on long runs. Every one of those shaped what you are about to play. Thank you: ElykEnderlen, Rhizan, Aquaz, painmoux, Saxjay, FeNeX, Irlinia22, AkimJoe, mavdamonster, MattouNBK, DeiOfTheDead, Siern, ManoS, Haina7973343, Widardman, Drewconic, Carnesasada, Bladetalonjr, ScarredByNature, Souls_Omega, Voyager8306321, Rolandeaux, godovlite, Thafyell, Galnyae, Elyura, Wsxz1, Jd2176, LimpidLuster, MrPato, Kezzies, Golgas, DamseI, Furrs, Hiloker_zr, Ilae, Fliegercantfly - and everyone who typed a command that did not work and took the time to say so. Keep going. The comments are where this thing gets better. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR PLAYING!
