Players will be delving into "The Endless Descent," which is a dungeon that opened up nearly 150 years ago. Few ever return, but those who do have stories of magic and monsters, and carry riches that set them up for life. The Descent attracts adventurers from all around, sprouting a merchant village around it to supply those foolish or brave enough to enter. The town, now called Basuuvia, has no organized government, but is maintained by the most powerful and influential merchants, who work in tandem with the older adventurers. With the merchants acting as the financial backers and the adventurers making sure to keep their lessers in line and well taken care of, the town turns a steady profit. Besides that, those who survive the Descent and retire usually become respected and influential figures, some serving as advisors and others simply attaining noble status and vanishing into their new, leisure filled lives.
