Project Requiem

Humans are a horrid species. When we discover something beautiful and strange, we seek to destroy or control it. Only once we have destroyed or have very nearly destroyed something, then and only then do we realize what a gift it was. This is why we have endangered species, and why we are attempting to bring back extinct species. It is also the reason that when we see someone supposedly discover something, we expect them to be found dead or gone soon after. We only expect those with power to take away.
