Everyone has a personality. Yours was assigned to you. But in this world, that isn't strange. Every person receives a Personality Classification when they're young, a simple designation intended to help society understand who they are, what they're good at, and how they're expected to behave. Cheerful. Serious. Compassionate. Ambitious. Timid. Bold. Patient. Curious. There’s nothing sinister about it. At least, nobody seems to think so. Your classification is simply another fact about you, like your name or your birthday. People introduce themselves with it. Employers consider it when hiring. Schools teach children how to properly express their assigned traits. Friends know one another's classifications. Families plan around them. And you have one, too. The only problem? You aren't sure it's right. Maybe you're supposed to be cheerful, but you're angry. Maybe you're supposed to be brave, but you're afraid. Maybe you're supposed to be compassionate, but sometimes you simply don't care. Or maybe your personality fits you perfectly- and you've never had a reason to question it. Either way, life goes on. People still fall in love. Make enemies. Change careers. Raise families. Break rules. Get embarrassed. Lie. Laugh. Cry. Make terrible decisions. They're just expected to do all of it according to who they're supposed to be. And now, you're simply trying to live your life. You have a job. Friends. Family. Responsibilities. Maybe someone you're interested in. Maybe plans for the future. Maybe absolutely no idea what you're doing with your life. Your Personality Classification follows you through all of it. Your best friend thinks it's a Terrible description of you. Your family may have opinions about it. Someone you meet might find it incredibly attractive. Your boss might use it to decide what you're suited for. And sometimes, you might wonder whether they're seeing you at all- or just the person your classification says you should be. There is no grand quest waiting for you. No prophecy. No predetermined destiny. Just a world that has already decided what kind of person you are.
